What is the difference between doing yoga in a virtual live classroom vs through videos on demand?
I am glad you asked. Here is a guide to help you choose.
The feedback from students we usually hear is:
The personal connection between the teacher and the student was crucial for them when starting, or practicing yoga.
Students generally but especially new students have questions, it is natural for us human beings to be curious. We want to have somebody to talk to. A virtual teacher in real time can help you to feel more comfortable and natural in this new environment. The space the teacher virtually created for you is an important tool to get you motivated and inspired!
And of course, very important not to forget, for our beloved animals.
EVERYBODY CAN JOIN 🙂 !
For most common folks it is challenging to begin with a regular yoga practice, especially online and while you are reading, we want to help you getting started. Imagine yourself feeling at ease, being ok with your body or wherever you are right now in your life, and get confident to open a link which directs you to a space where others in the same situation like you doing exercises and meditations. Often they laugh together and perhaps… you are even able, to fully lose yourself, just for a moment, by feeling into your body and focusing your mind in a meditation.
This maybe a new experience, and we want it to be as personal for you as possible! That said, we think that it is very important that you are receiving a warm and welcoming greeting before class, that you feel free to ask questions before and after class, to help you improve with your practice, and your emotional or your life challenges.
We love to laugh and have fun doing yoga together online and holding a space for each other. It would be lovely if you’d like to engage before or after class, introducing yourself and let us know from which part of the world you are joining. I always think that is so exiting to hear. That way we also know that you can hear the voice of the teacher clearly with no problem.
Just in case you are not comfortable sharing your space in a video class, no problem, before you pop up on the screen, you have the option to choose if you want to be seen or not. Of course, we prefer to see you, but we also understand, that it may take time to feel comfortable to be seen from the other students in the class on video.
When you are doing Kundalini Yoga from home and the class starts, we are tuning in and the teacher will mute the students. This prevents disturbing background noises or echoing during the class. Don’t worry, you can un-mute yourself anytime to be heard again. Then we start on doing the exercises and a meditation together.
I have talked to many people, all agreed that it is much easier to follow through doing the yoga when in a class room, anticipating the other students and the teacher, than when being alone.
I think we all failed occasionally, when we “told ourselves that we are going to practice yoga tonight with a video on demand…” and ended up in front of the television.
Think about it, yes it may be new for you, but it is also a bit like going on a new adventure. Sharing is caring, and sharing our challenges instead of trying to figure it all out by ourselves, can be very liberating and elevating.
Especially if you have felt or thought already about for a while, that you would like to be a part of a wholehearted and like minded community, let me assure you, Kundalini Yoga from home offers the right place for that. All what you have to do, is to join.
How, by creating an account and book your first class to start.
Dismiss your excuses, and start new. We encourage you no matter your age, location or fitness level, to join us and try the live classes out for yourself.
Sat nam, looking forward seeing you!
If you are new, try it out and
If you think that sound great, but I would like to know a bit more about this, below you can find out more.
